The School of New Media at Peking University was founded in February 2014. It is a teaching and research institution focused on the creative development of new media. The School aims at promoting theoretical understanding, technological innovation and industry development in the field of new media. It also hopes to provide social services based on rigorous social research, teaching and advocacy. The School of New Media boasts some of the top teaching and research scholars in their fields. Our faculty comes from a variety of academic backgrounds including communications, information science, management, sociology, psychology and computer science. To meet the needs of a rapidly changing society and global economy, Peking University’s School of New Media offers an English taught master’s program in new media. The program aims at educating and developing young scholars and professionals in the new media field both in China and globally.
