The program aims to provide students with both theories and practices in crisis and public management. The curriculum emphasizes on enhance students’ understanding of the crisis and public management practice in China, including institutional frameworks, regimes, and policies. On completion of all the required subjects, the graduates will be equipped with professional knowledge, research skills, and interdisciplinary competence in responding to challenges in today’s global risk society. After completing all course work and succeeding in thesis defense, students will receive a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
School of Governance, NJU, on which the program relies, is one of the top institutes for public administration and governance. Its discipline of crisis management is in a leading position nationwide and enjoys a good academic standing internationally. It has a faculty of 55 full-time teachers, including many renowned scholars and leading figures. It has 4 undergraduate programs and 7 master’s and doctoral programs, with a mature, comprehensive and internationalized educational system.
