Horticulture belongs to the agronomy discipline that applies horticultural science and technology to agricultural production and processing. The College of Horticulture at China Agricultural University is established firstly in China. The discipline of Horticulture at China Agricultural University continuously ranks the top in the discipline assessment by Chinese Ministry of Education. 

The current program consists of three majors as Pomology, Vegetable Science, and Landscape Plants & Ornamental Horticulture. The research fields of these three majors include genetics and breeding, physiology and molecular biology, development biology, post-harvest physiology, cultivation, Landscape and environment arts design. 

The program is designed based on the advantages of College of Horticulture at China Agricultural University to train doctor degree students with global minds. Students graduated from this project should have the ability to work on the research, teaching and management related at universities, institutes, governments and companies.
