Overview

Chemical Engineering and Technology, which covers study and apply the basic theory and method of chemical process industry to solve the practical engineering problems of coal chemical industry and other energy related fields of production, research and development, design and management.

The specialty was founded in 1958, which was assessed as “national specialty”, “Jiangsu province specialty”, “Jiangsu province key specialty”, “the specialty of outstanding engineer education and training program”, “national engineering education certification specialty” and “the brand specialty of 13th Five-Year construction of CUMT”. 

It includes the first-class doctor and master degree discipline of “chemical engineering and technology”, which is a cultivation and construction point of Jiangsu Province “national key disciplines”, key construction discipline of “211 Project” and the dominant discipline of Jiangsu Province. 

Meanwhile, the specialty implements the teaching system of professors. Chemical Engineering and Technology major aims to cultivate advanced talents with all-round development, innovative spirit and practical ability, engaged in chemical engineering, energy conversion and utilization and related fields of engineering technology, scientific research and management.
