Overview:
Safety engineering college of CUMT with the national engineering research center of coal mine gas control and the key laboratory of coal mine gas and fire under the Chinese ministry of education are operating together. The following institutes are set up in the College: Research Institute of Ventilation and Fire Prevention、Coal Mine Gas Control Research Institute、Research Institute of Prevention and Utilization of Coal Mine Gas、Coal and Rock Dynamic Disaster Research Institute、Prediction of Outburst and Security Equipment Research Institute、Safety Monitoring Research Institute、Safety Engineering Research Institute、Fire Protection Engineering Research Institute, Undergraduate Teaching Experimental Center and Safety Testing Laboratory. The College is to build a safety characteristics, a world-class of high level research institute.
At present, the college has two bachelor's degree programs, namely Safety Engineering and Fire Protection Engineering, which both rank the first in the professional evaluation by domestic authoritative agencies. Safety engineering is now the first batch of jiangsu province listed provincial brand professional, the national characteristic specialty construction specialty and twelfth five-year key construction of jiangsu province, ranked the first position in the domestic authority of professional assessment rankings.
