Introduction
The School of Environment has 71 staff, including 16 professors (12 doctoral supervisors), and 17 associate professors. The School has organized more than 220 national, provincial and international projects in recent years, including three key projects of National Natural Science Foundation, 46 General Programs and Young Scholars Programs of National Natural Science Foundation, four National Science and Technology major projects (water pollution control),and one “973”project. Since 2009, the School has published more than 400 papers on the journals and international conferences, including more than 140 SCI index papers, more than 60 EI and ISTP papers. The School has so far published more than 20 monographs and textbooks, obtained over 10 invention patens and software copyrights, developed three national and industrial standards and won 14 rewards, including two national awards and three provincial awards.
The School can enroll master and doctoral degree students majoring in Environment Science, Environmental Engineering and Ecology, with following research areas: environmental chemistry, environmental biology, environmental planning and management, water pollution control engineering, environmental engineering microbiology, water pollution monitoring and control, solid wastes disposal and resources utilization, pollution ecology, zoo ecology, ecosystem conservation and ecological remediation, ecological safety assessment and management.
